Chinijo archipel: this is not a common place

Chinijo archipel: this is not a common place

The Chinijo archipel is not a common place: it is the biggest European marine reserve. A magic place far from the madding crowd with big doses of adventure due to its geology and its natural heritage and because almost all areas are uninhabited. There is only a small village in La Graciosa: Caleta de Sebo. At this village you can find the only dive centre these islands have.

From this club (that you will see from the harbour) all the trips to the diving spots are organized.

There are many places to dive. On the little strait that divides La Graciosa from Lanzarote (which is known as "El Río" among the inhabitants of the islands) you will find many interesting and not-too-deep diving spots like "el Veril de las Anclas", where you will see many ship anchors on a sandy area.

Immersions are done around the main island (La Graciosa) and near Alegranza, where you will find "el Bajo de las Gerardias". It is a deep immersion in which you will see black coral. "El Veril de las Langostas" and "La Burrera" are also very well known.

If you decide to stay in La Graciosa after diving, you have a modest but charming lodging offer.
