Small islands to get lost
“Archipiélago Chinijo” means “small archipelago”. This group of islands can be found to the North of Lanzarote. It is a Natural Protected space, Natural Reserve and Biosphere Reserve.
To get there you have to go take a boat that leaves every hour from Órzola, in Lanzarote.
Already in the beginning of the journey you will see the small islands of Roque del Este, Alegranza and in just 30 minutes you will be in the port of Caleta de Sebo, in La Graciosa, which is the only inhabited area.
The little fisher town, with its sand streets, is a quiet and peaceful corner where you will discover many restaurants that serve fresh fish.
There are many excursions you can book to travel around by jeep or to see the island in a zodiac from the sea. You can also rent bicycles, or go scuba diving.
The beach of La Concha, in the North of the island, is the most impressive part of the island, and from there you will see the little islands of Montaña Clara and Roque del Oeste.
In the South part of the island there are Francesa and Montaña Amarilla, two isolated and lonely beaches with crystal waters and fine white sand.
