The wildest beaches
The most singular and delightful beaches of Lanzarote are the so-called “Playas de Papagayo”. They are a group of white sand and turquoise water small bays, which border the South coast of the island. Puerto Muelas, Playa Mujeres, Caleta del Congrio or Papagayo are just a few of them.
They are situated on a protected area just 10 minutes away from Playa Blanca and it is necessary to cross an unpaved road. The area is still virgin due to its protected area, which makes it a wild, isolated and quiet place. Visiting Papagayo will be an unforgettable experience.
You can move from one small bay to another through the rocks on a long walk by the shore. We recommend you get your mark and snorkel with you in order to see the fish and the clear seabed. You should also carry your own food because it is not easy to get a place to buy fresh water or food. There is just a small beach bar at the top of the main bay.
The best option is enjoying the sun and the sea and after that going back to the marina in Marina Rubicón where you will find a large number of terraces full of charm to enjoy the sunset or to have dinner on a high quality restaurant situated on the marina.
